The right thing!

UPDATE: The whole sugar thing only lasted about I think 2 weeks. There have been many and Imean many sugary treats since then. I may try it again. Especially if I get prego soon.

On to better subjects. I turned in my resignation today. I am quitting teaching. I thought I would feel panick but instead I feel a very big sence of calm. I am very happy with my choice, even though in Wyoming teachers make pretty decent money. I am going to give my own business a wirl; selling Mary Kay cosmetics. I have been selling them for a while and think that I can do great things with this company! I am excited to learn, and grow. MK is such a positive company. And right now I definately need some positive things happening! I need positive people who believe in me.

So I started selling Mary Kay cosmetics. I have been selling it for about 5 months. On V-com I hear this lady talk about changing your life in 90 days. I hear her say this almost everyday. She said that you can change your life, marriage, carreer, anything in 90 days.

So here I go. I am going to change my life in 90 days (and hopefully be a little slimmer along the way!) I am going to stop eating sugar (and anything that has sugar in it...ie cookies, ice cream, candy, pop, gatoraide...) for 90 days. I will be the rule keeper of this, so if I want to eat something that may have sugar in the ingrediants...(can't think of anything off the top of my head) I could potentially eat it.

So tomorrow, LOOK OUT! I may be a little grouchy!

Standardized testing

First I would like to say, what a joke!

I hate it. I ABSOLUTELY HATE IT!

I think this is a rediculous way to try to analyze how well a teacher is doing, or how a child is doing. It is a little rediculous to try to decide how well a child can do when he or she doesn't get fed, or their parents are alcoholics, or they get bounced around all the time. They seem to forget that children have other sercumstances to deal with as well as going to school. They seem to forget that the name and number on the test booklets also represent a child.

The ants go marching two by two, hurrah hurrah

Oh yes, you read that correctly! We have ants in our house. We put down this ant food that is supposed to kill them when they take it back to their nest, but thus far, doesn't look like it's working. They are coming out of their hole a lot quicker and with a lot more abundance! I am giving it the rest of today and then we are calling in bigger and badder people to kill them.

Can you bug bomb a house for ants? Who even knew that we would get ants in the middle of our house. And when I say middle I mean MIDDLE! It's the wierdest thing ever!

Busy, busy, busy!

Have you ever felt like things are just so crazy and that it never ends? The chores pile up, work is never ending and it feels like one big blur? That's what I am feeling right now. Faith has posted about spring cleaning and it got me thinking about it the past few days. I feel like I can't even keep up with daily chores, let alone the even bigger ones like the baseboards. But this weekend I am going to give it a shot! (After my mary kay tax class Friday night, and guest event on Sat.!)

Along with being busy with chores, two jobs and finding time to hang out with my husband, I am also on the quest to find more time to spend working out. We just bought the dogs a kennel, because our loving pitbull keeps jumping the fence. So now we have an even better reason to exercise. We have to take our two dogs for a walk/run every day since they will be couped up all day. I am very excited and also a little bummed. I like to do stuff, but once it becomes mandatory I feel like my 3rd graders; a little hesitant, procrastinator...all of those things rolled into one. :)

Anyhow, enough babbling for one day!

Spring cleaning already?

Well looking at other people's posts, I sure am a little behind! It seems as though everyone is already starting on spring cleaning. UUUGGGHHH! Spring cleaning. Yuck! I don't like to clean very much as it is, let alone doing the whole shabang!

I will be tackling the two spare bedrooms. They need to be finished and they need to have the walls textured. For those of you who don't know, we just bought our house in Aug. We moved in in October because of some heating issues, and have since then been trying to remodel EVERYTHING all at once. I know it's not the practical thing to do, but oh yes that is how we do things at our house. We are living in a big ole mess!

So spring cleaning is hard for me to do. With those two rooms all messed up I feel like I can't even start, because everything is everywhere!
