some more crossed off my list!

I made my husband breakfast in bed today. So I guess I get to cross off that one on my 101 things list!

I am going to have to try later in life for the 2 weeks with no pop...I just can't seem to do it right now. We went to a BBQ last night and it was either beer (which we didn't take any) or pop. I don't know the people very well to ask if I could go into their house to get water...

But in my effort to not drink pop I have lost 5 pounds in the past 2-3 weeks. I know part of it is probably cause I was sick and couldn't eat very much, but I think part of it was not drinking all the sugar! There's a lot of calories to consume in just one pop. And if I went out to a restraunt it would be multiple pops along with whatever unhealthy calorie filled dish I was eating!

No this is not going to turn into a weight loss blog. I am just excited that I am almost back to my pre-preggo weight! About 5 more pounds to go! Marlee is only 4.5 months old. I mean, that isn't too bad is it!?!

I am also working on my nieces quilt. I finally got my sewing machine to start working right again, and they are coming out in 2 weeks. That is my deadline! So maybe this afternoon since Mike is home that will be my project! I will def. take pictures when I get more done. Right now it's just a bunch of silly squares...:)

Anyhow, I have to get ready for a brunch. It says carry in, so I am hoping that means we are supposed to bring something...cause otherwise I will look silly!

Have a fabulous weekend!

I'm back from my awesome weekend!

I had so much fun this weekend! We didn't arive to Idaho Falls until late on Friday since it takes 4-5 hours to get there.

On our way there, we saw hundreds of elk, a moose, a couple of deer (luckily we didn't hit one...close but no cigar!) and we smoked a poor little racoon. There was no missing him. I felt bad, but what do you do?We saw so many elk, because it is migration time. In the winter they get fed at the elk refuge in Jackson Hole. Now they are migrating back to the mountains.

On our way back home, we took some of these photos...there is still so much snow up in the moutains... (we were driving and it's through the window so they aren't very good, but you get the point!) There were people up there snowmobiling when we drove past. Let me just tell ya I was very very very jealous! I haven't gotten to go at all this year! And here it is the middle of May and other people still get to go! (We saw this on the way there too...just didn't take pics until on our way home!

This is on Towgatee Pass above Dubois Wyoming.
Then we saw the Tetons outside of Jackson Hole. This is how close they look from the turnout...
And this is how far away they look in my camera with no zoom. This is all of the Tetons though.

Once we got into Idaho Falls, we just hit the sack. In the morning we got up and I ran/walked my 5k. I ran for more than a mile of it at the beginning without stopping which is really good for me. I could have ran more, but some people ahead of me started walking so I talked myself into walking as well. After that it was very hard to start running again. I did, but it was hard!

After my race, we went to the zoo. It was a lot of fun! Across from the motel were a bunch of geese and goslings which we had a lot of fun watching and feeding! We stayed right across from the falls which was pretty cool!

This is Mike and I at the zoo. Marlee was sleeping in the double stroller (which by the way is so fantastic!). So it was just the two of us...

We also went shopping...and there will be some pics of the cute little outfits I bought Marlee. I don't buy her many clothes since my sister saves all of her daughters clothes for us...so it was fun to pick some stuff out ourselves!

101 things update...

I have just looked at my list again. Some of the things on this list are hard! But I got to cross off some stuff...

# 35 I have went to church for 5 weeks in a row. I missed last week since I was at home visiting family, but will be going again this weekend. I really enjoy it!

# 15 is in progress. I will be running and walking a little May 16th in Idaho. I am excited. After I get this one done, then I would like to train for another one to run the whole thing. And maybe since I am probably going to have to walk part of it it doesn't count...but hey it's my list, so I guess I get to make the rules :)

# 66 I organized them last week after a bunch of stuff had pushed the door open and fell on the floor.

# 77 is done...we didn't buy one, but Mike got one from his mom for his birthday!

# 88 I am working on reading to Marlee every day. I guess I should have put a time limit to this one to actually accomplish it. I try to read to her every day...sometimes we are too busy, but most of the time she is read to often!

I started my 30 random acts of kindness yesterday. 4/29/09 I don't remember what number it is...but yeah! I am excited!

101 things in 1001 days

Here is my list again...I revisited it yesterday, and got to cross some stuff off! YIPPEE! Just remember if you make your own list, please send me the link I WOULD LOVE TO READ IT! :)

Over at Three Blondes and a Redhead, I found this challenge. I thought that it looked cool, and fun to do so I am going to try it.

What it is: 101 things you would like to accomplish in 1001 days. Essentially they have to have a time frame...so you can't just say I want to be a better person. They have to be things that you can actually see that you have done...anyhow go on over to here to read more about it. Link up to Three Blondes and a Redheads mr. linky...and definately comment here if you decide to take the challenge because I would love to read your list!
