Christmas morning part 2

This is going to be mostly pictures. :) Mike's parents came over for breakfast and to open presents, and then later in the day we went to Mike's Grandpa's house for lunch-ish.

On Christmas day, I am now at 31 weeks...and in this picture I was just being silly. :)

Trying to get a picture of me and Marlee...

My sister had given us this very pretty dress but Marlee wanted no part of it. So, to get her to wear something cute, I had to also wear a dress...

When I put it on, she said Mommy look, now we are both princesses! And we did some twirls together. It's the little things in life that make her happy...at least for now. :)
And the real 31 week shot...

Have a fantastic day! :)

Christmas 1 &2, of 3

We are going to have 3 Christmas' this year. We started last weekend with my sister and her family. As I probably mentioned in an earlier post we usually go there, and this year they came here which was super cool! It was nice not to have to do the drive and all that jazz. :)
Here is Gavin and Marlee. Gavin just opened up his star wars, and Marlee got a Strawberry shortcake book, DVD and doll. Brooklyn got a tea set. Apparently, Marlee should have gotten the tea set (although we already have two) and Brooklyn should have gotten the strawberry doll. They played with each other's toys the whole time they were here. :)

After that whirl wind of a trip, my mom and her boy friend came. Which was also a whirl wind of a trip as well. It's a good thing my mom doesn't read this blog, since I am sure she wouldn't be very fond of this picture. :)

Marlee got a new baby bed that has a high chair at the end of the bed. She loves it. And can you see behind her in this picture? She also got a 3 wheeler or her "motorcycle." She's not sure if she loves it or not. She likes to sit on it, but it is kinda jerky when you first push the peddle, and she doesn't like that part. I am excited for the snow we have, but will be happy when we have the snow out of our yard so she can ride it outside. My mom also got her some other little things, so I am convinced she was thoroughly spoiled before we even had our Christmas. :)

I am excited for her, since she received so many cool things from my family! We wish that all of my family could have stayed longer! But it was nice to see them all even though it was for a short time! :)

I have to upload Christmas day onto photobucket, and then I will post those pictures as well. :)

I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas Day! :)

Santa pictures

Oh, wait.

There won't be any.

Marlee wouldn't step foot near him. Even though I offered to hold her. She made Brooklyn get her bag of candy for her. Once she safely had her bag of candy, and was a good 15 feet away from him (which was about the closest I could get her) then she said in a very loud voice "Thanks Santa! See ya later!" As she was practically running out the door.

Maybe next year.

But I didn't want to push it. Santa is supposed to be fun, not horrifying.

So there will be no pictures with Santa this year.  :(

We have had our first round of Christmas with my sister and her family. Marlee got a new Strawberry shortcake doll, book and DVD. And we had given Brooklyn a tea set. Apparently, we should have had them opposite because Marlee LOVED the tea set (we have two, or I would have probably gotten her this one too) and Brooklyn loved Strawberry. Each one had a hard time giving the other one up when it was time for them to go.

My mom and her bf are supposed to be coming on Wednesday, if the roads are good. So we will have Christmas with them Wed. night. And then this weekend we will have Christmas with Mike's family. And a quiet Christmas at our house with just Mikes mom, dad and brothers. We will be doing the big family thing on Saturday. All of Mike's family lives here. There are about 20 on each side when everyone is here. So, I told his mom that I am not hosting everyone on Christmas, and I am not going any where on Christmas. I want Marlee to be able to play with her toys. I am very happy that they obliged very easily. :) So I will be making breakfast and lunch for them, but making stuff for 7 is much more doable than for 20-30.

What are you doing for Christmas?

Snow, snow and more snow...

So this week, we brought Gav and Brooklyn home with us since my sister had to work all week and the kids were off of school. They were supposed to stay here til tomorrow, but since we are supposed to get 10" of snow today, we decided to take them home yesterday. And this morning we woke up to at least 5" of snow, and I have shoveled the walk 2 times today and it needs it again already. Snow has finally hit us in Wyoming. It's kinda nice to bundle the kids up and take them outside to play. Tomorrow Mike gets the day off so hopefully we can get in some sledding. :)

Do you like snow, or loathe it? I love it for a while, but in spring I am definitely ready for it to be gone! :) We were thinking of going snowboarding this weekend but on the other side of the mountain (where my family lives) it's supposed to get -20ish, (and of course now we can't get over the pass...).

***********************************************

Okay, so back to Christmas for a second...I just have to tell you how excited I am for all of the AWESOME gifts we got! Mike and I collectively got new pots/pans and a new microwave. He got a new tool box full of tools. And I made out like a bandit! I was super spoiled this year! I got a $20 gift certificate to our local craft store, $20 to hobby lobby, and $40 to JoAnnes! I also got a $100 dollar bill to go towards fabric, a cricut, silouette, or an awesome serger. I haven't decided what I will use it for but I am SO excited! :)

And am super grateful! :)

What did you get for Christmas?

I am also super excited that we made it over the mountain and got to spend time with all of our family...but I am also so excited to get so much more fabric to make some more cool things! :)

*************************************************
Okay there is one more thing I want to write about today, and then I will probably be done for the day...

It's being a NOREPLY blogger...if you don't know what that is go here to read about how to fix it and then I can reply straight to your comment, instead of trying to go back to your blog, and then commenting...it makes it so much easier! Especially because sometimes the conversations between blog posts get so confusing! :)
Essentially it makes it so I can just hit reply and type what I want to say, and it shoots it to your email. Then you can email me back and forthe...

I didn't know about this until one day someone told me about it. But now I am telling all of you about it so it can be easier! :)  You just change one little thing in your profile...go on...do it!

Christmas...part II

She had a lot of fun opening presents that night. She got some puzzles, a mixer, a toaster, and a car that hasn't been brought over yet. We went to Mike's families gathering, and had dinner, played and went home kinda early because we had planned on going over the mountain to see my family, but the roads weren't that great, and it was dark so decided to come home to spend the night and brave the roads in the daylight.  When we got home we put together her table and chairs set, and put all of her presents under the tree.

This was as good as it gets for a smile...it was her I want to play, not look at you and smile look! :)

Her new awesome tea set...she didn't want to open any more gifts after that one. Thanks Aunt Carrie!

Christmas morning was fun, but very rushed. Next year I think we will stay home for Christmas and do everyone else's Christmas' at a different time. I think I may just want it to be the 3 of us next year. She wanted to play with each toy she opened, but since we wanted to get over the mountain we had to kind of rush her. It takes 2.5 hours to get to my sister's house, so we ended up there around 9:30 or 10. We opened presents there, and played wii fit all day. It was a good time!

And finally the pic's from my sister's house...

Don't ask me what I was doing in thsi picture...I think the bag was hard to open, so that must be my struggling face...ha ha. She was super excited to get a purse...it has a phone and her favorite part her "ipsip" aka lipstick. :)

And thankfully we got another stroller, so now Marlee and A can play with strollers at the same time. Thanks Aunt Toni! :)

Isn't this the cutest little dress! I love it! She also got a kitchen from my mom and her BF, and a train that is supposed to do something...I haven't checked it out much yet, and lot's of books.

I'll do a whole other post on all the cool things Mike and I got... since this one is getting pretty long! :)

Gav's blanket...Christmas part 1

This isn't the best picture of the quilt, but I did have a very happy recipient! Unfortunately I didn't get a pic of Brooklyn with her quilt, or her face when she opened it...which was totally classic! She was totally excited! And so was he! :)

I will post more pictures either later today or tomorrow of the rest of our crazy Christmas! :) Have a great day!

Christmas Crafts...

I always think I am going to do so great at getting Marlee to do some fun crafts. I am not. I see all of these AWESOME, cute, fun crafts online every day, and I don't get around to it. But for the next two weeks we will be having some awesome crafts during my class so she will get to do a bunch of them! :)

I have found some awesome things and a great new blog (cause I need more blogs to read LOL). It's called Ramblings of a Crazy Woman...which is how I feel sometimes. :) But seriously she has 100 posts with Christmas crafts...so check her out! :)  And I will be posting some pictures of the things we will be doing soon...as soon as we do them :)

Do you decorate a lot for Christmas? I haven't in the past. I want to start next year. :) Yep, I said next year. This year Marlee is still little enough that I don't really feel like we can do a lot of traditions with her, that she will actually remember. I really want to do an advent calendar, but I kinda missed the boat on that one...since it is already Dec. 2, and I don't have one made. But I have seen a few cute ones, specifically the one over at The Craft Patch. It looks fun and pretty easy, so I think I will start working on it right after Christmas is over, for next year. :) I also saw another thing where they wrapped 25 Christmas/winter books and unwrapped one every night. I thought that would be fun for next year too. I have to get a few more book to my collection. I have WAY more than 25 books, but not very many of Christmas.

What are your traditions?

This year, we are going to make a gingerbread house. That is going to be our first tradition. I am super excited. I bought a kit to do it, and hopefully next year I can actually figure out how to make all of it myself. We will see.

Figuring it out one day at a time...
