The count is on...

At the beginning of the week I got a new bed for Marlee. You may remember from an earlier post. :)

Today I had a friend watch her so I could paint a wall in her room. I also want to paint her two doors, as well as the trim in her room, but that will have to be tomorrow or the next day, because the paint I thought was white, ended  up being a funky off white.

So today is her first day in her new bed. Thus far she has gotten up two three four five six times. I'll let you know tomorrow how many altogether!

I haven't put all the decorations back up, and I need some new curtains since the old ones don't match. (and we need trim around the windows, but I am going to wait until we get new windows put in before I put it up). We had put up sheet rock in her room when we moved in. If I knew then what I know now, we would have just found some better paneling that we liked and went with that. But anyways, that's a totally different story!

Her room has always been a cream color and we had fun decorations up, but nothing too fancy. Then we were going to switch her to the big room and have the little room stay the nursery. But you all know about that, so I just decided to keep her in the little room, and paint a wall blue. In the pictures it kinda looks like a baby blue, but it is actually almost identical to the blue in her dinosaur quilt. So it's more of a turquoise, or aqua blue I guess. I LOVE it!

I don't have all the decorations back up yet, because I wasn't sure where we were going to put the bed. And I have to take some of the other stuff out, like the changing table just because of how small the room is. So I guess this would warrant as a sneak peak! :)

Also don't mind how messy it was before...some of the stuff was always like that, and the others are more because I was already getting ready to take everything apart, and so I had to move a lot of it out of her room.

I only have one shot because the rest of the stuff is in the corner waiting for tomorrow for me to figure out what I am going to do with it.
So what do you think?

And how do you get your kid to stay in bed? It has seriously taken almost an hour to write this post and I know we are over 10 times of her getting out of bed??? Anyone want a little one. She is a cutie, but apparently fights sleep.

A little transformation...

Remember this plain old wall. I had planned on doing a lot with it...but never got around to it. It has looked like this for the past 3 years that we have lived here.
But now...it looks like this. I will be adding some frames I think to it...but it will be a couple days or weeks before I get to it. I brought them all upstairs, but I want to get some new photos printed, which will be a little bit.
