I'm not linking up to Aloha Friday, but I am going to participate anyways...
Just a simple question for ya'll...and then I need to get on with my day, and off this computer at least til nap time! :)
What's the most treasured item you have found at a garage sale this summer (or in summer's past, if you haven't been garage saling this summer)?
Mine is probably the HUGE turtle I got last week that can either hold sand or water, which has doubled as our little swimming pool, and in the fall will make it into the sand pit. It's bigger than others I have found, and I even got it for $7 dollars instead of the $37 for a smaller version from walli-world. I also got an easle for the kids...you could have 4 kids at it, but I need to clean it and actually put it in my house for them to play with. :)

Aloha friday...
With spring here, and summer fast approaching, my question is:
Do you garage sale? Do you get up early and go, or do it at a leisurely time?
I am not a huge garage saler, although I did find two matching dressers at a garage sale once for $150. And they are real wood. I thought it was a steal, Mike wasn't so impressed! :)
Although, this summer I think I am going to hit the garage sales, to try to find some outside toys. And maybe a little table for the girls to sit at to play, eat and color on.

Aloha Friday and Friday Follow...
Over at an Island Life, they ask a question on Fridays, that requires no lengthy response. And they ask you do the same...so to have a little help with a little arguement my hubby and I have about 2 times a year (when his parents go) I am going to ask you this:
Would you take your kids to Las Vegas? If the answer is yes, what would you have an almost 2 year old do there? (cause if we go again it would be at THanksgiving).
I would prefer not ever going to Vegas again, for the simple fact that we have been 3 times since we have been together, this year at Thanksgiving being the first that we haven't went. I would rather go elsewhere that Marlee could have more fun, and quite frankly I could have more fun too. :)
This week I am also playing along with Friday Follow. Hope you join in with both, or either one! Have a great friday!

Aloha Friday
As I have been hanging out in -22 wheather, my mind has been wondering...
What is your favorite wintertime activity?
When it's NOT in the negatives, my favorite things to do are sledding, x-country skiing, and snowboarding. I don't get to do any of these very often now because of where I live, but those are my favorite things to do!
For more Aloha Friday questions and the rules go visit An Island Life.

Aloha Friday
Over at An Island Life, on Friday's it's easy posting...go on over there to read the rules, link up, and visit other bloggers!
I feel like I have been running around like a chicken with it's head cut off, and just like a chicken without a head, it doesn't get anywhere. :)
So, my question this week is:
How do you relax?
I've been trying to relax more, but with the holidays it feels like crunch time! So, I have been trying to hang out, drink hot chocolate and talk to my hubby. I also like to read a good book, but haven't been to the library for a couple weeks since it's been in the negatives here, and haven't wanted to take Marlee out.

Aloha Friday...
Today is Friday, which means it's time for another Aloha Friday. Go on over to An Island Life to find out the rules, visit other bloggers, and to link up!
Today my question is:
What is your favorite craft activity? And if your not crafty, what is your kids favorite craft?
My favorite craft past time is sewing. But I am also now really looking into a lot of fun Christmas crafts, like wreaths, and ornaments! I am looking for cheap things (well, not cheap looking, but fun inexpensive things) to make for our tree!

Aloha Friday
I am so excited! We have almost all of our shopping done for Christmas. Mike has to get my present, and me his, and we have to get his brothers family their present and we are finished!
I had a budget of about 10-15 dollars a person this year, and I think I accomplished that! I am so excited! We had 12 people to shop for plus Marlee (but I don't count her, since we are obviously going to spend more than 10 bucks on her!) :)
My favorite, is for the kiddos, we filled them back up with art supplies. And my other favorite is a family gift of a popcorn bowl, popcorn, some candy that you could get at the theater and a movie gift certificate. That way they can all enjoy something together! And it beats having to get everyone something different when there is 6 in a family! :)
Did you do black Friday shopping? Are you almost done, done or haven't even started on your shopping yet?

Aloha Friday
It's Friday again! Wahoo! It's been a busy week, and I am looking forward to walking a 5k this weekend, and hopefully having my husband get all of the tile up in the bathroom, and then after that I want to paint my kitchen!
On Fridays over at An Island Life I like to play along with Aloha Friday's. Go on over there to read the rules, and to visit other bloggers. And if you like it link up to play along!
So my question for this week is:
What did you want to be when you grew up? Are you doing it now, or something else?
When I was young I always wanted to be a mom. I don't think I realized until I was older that I wanted to stay at home. My mom did for a while when we were little, and then she had to start working, so I don't know if I thought that was actually an option. I also wanted to be a photographer, marine biologist and a teacher. I do get to take a lot of pictures, and I am a teacher but the marine biologist went by the wayside.
Have a happy Friday!

Aloha Friday
My daughter Marlee is 9 months old. She has very recently learned how to roll her tongue.
So my question is:
Can you do anything special wiht your tongue?
I can't really do anything special with my tongue. I can roll it like a burrito, but can't flip it sideways like my husband and daughter.

Go on over to Kailani's at An Island Life to link up, visit others and read the rules! :)
My question today is:
Are you a glass 1/2 full or 1/2 empty type of person by nature?
I am probably a 1/2 glass empty type of person by nature, but I am trying to change my outlook on things!
Have a happy Friday!
(Marlee update: not back to normal at all yet, still trying all of your suggestions! Thanks BTW!)

Aloha Friday...
I love shopping. I don't shop very much since the closest mall is about 2 hours from me. We have Wallyworld, and K mart, but no Targees or really any clothing stores that I would be interested in. So I have to do a lot of shopping online, and sometimes a couple of us girls get together and make a day of going to the next town for some a shopping day.
So my question today is:
What is your favorite way to shop? And where do you shop... ie online, etsy or in stores?
If you shop online, what is your favorite place to get things? I am always looking for new places to browse, and looking for great deals!
If you want to know more about Aloha Friday go to An Island Life, read the rules, and link up. It's a great way to make new blogging friends!

Aloha Friday...
Lately I have been really into books. But as we all know, books don't get much done around the house, so today I turned on my favorite podcast. Manic Mommies. I used to LOVE, LOVE, LOVE pregtastic, but now, I am no longer preggo so it doesn't really pertain to me! :) I also love their new one for new mommies (if you go to the pregtastic website you will find it, since my memory is lapsing and I can't seem to find it).
So my questions this week are:
Do you listen to podcasts? If you do what is your favorite?
I am looking for some new ones to add to my list! If it will make housework go by faster, than I am up for it! :)
To join in and read the rules of Aloha Friday, go to An Island Life. Have a fabulous weekend!

Aloha Friday...
I need to start writing my Aloha Fridays on Monday, when I think of good questions, because on Friday, I have forgotten all the good ones I had planned on asking!
Well, I have started thinking about Christmas, and I am going to attempt to make Marlee a quiet book. If it goes well, I am planning on making some of the other kids in my family one too.
So I have two questions for you:
Do you get everyone in your extended family (ie, brothers, sisters, their spouses, and kids) each their own gift or do you do a family gift? And do you buy all the gifts or are some hand made?
I haven't quite figured out which way we are doing our extended family yet, but I am going to make some gifts this year and also buy some.

In an effort to get my house de-cluttered, and party ready for tomorrow, I am doing house work today.
My question is:
What is your least favorite house hold chore?
Mine is def. the dishes, and folding laundry. YUCK! And I have both to do! :(

Aloha Friday
It has been a crazy week around here! I am very happy it's Friday! I have a long list of things to get done, but I am in the mood so it should go by fast!
My question this week is:
What gets you motivated? We all have a list of things to get done, especially around the house...so what gets and keeps you motivated?
I can't really tell you what keeps me motivated, sometimes the house is a huge disaster and I don't have any motivation to clean it up, and other times I just begin the day wanting to get up, and get moving.
For more Aloha Fridays, go to An island Life. Don't forget to read the rules, then post your question and visit other bloggers! It's a great way to make blogging friends!

Aloha Friday...
It has been getting colder here, so it has been nice. I am not sure I like the brisk mornings, but the not so hot afternoons are perfect!
What's your favorite part of fall? Do you have any traditions?
My favorite part of fall, is the changing colors of all the leaves. I also like that I can start baking, without literally baking us inside! :)
Go on over to an Island Life for more!

Aloha Friday
So this week has been crazy for me! It has been very busy, but we have been very blessed as well!
So my question for this week is:
What do you do to relax?
I like to hang out with a good book, sew (which sometimes isn't so relaxing!) and once our bathroom is fixed I will enjoy taking a hot bath!
Go on over to An Island Life to play along...and don't forget to visit other bloggers...its the way I have made most of my friends on here!

Aloha Friday
As you know (if you've been reading this past week) that I have been working on some quilts. I am very very excited for the outcome. I started out with a little bit, and had to go buy more fabric since the quilts weren't going to be the size that I wanted. I have also tried to knit (which hasn't worked out very well for me!), scrapbook, take pictures (which I do frequently!), and some other putzing around too.
Which leads me to my question(s):
Are you a crafty person? What is your craft of choice? And if you do some sort of craftiness, do you have any of it posted on your blog?
I would love to see your work so if you have stuff posted on your blog, please let me know and I will be browsing when I get back on Monday.
Go on over to an Island Life to link up and play along!
Have a great weekend! I will be putting up hay and not working on my quilt (darn it!). But hopefully Sunday I can make some more progress on it and post pictures when I get farther along!

On Friday its easy posting...go here to read more about it from An Island Life. Don't forget to play along! Link up and then visit other bloggers!
So with the school year fastly approaching, I have seen on some blogs that they are getting ready for their homeschooling. This is an issue that I have debated (both sides) for a long time. I was a teacher for 2 years, and now have Marlee, and have contemplated both. (I still have a while before I have to commit to either but...)
I want to know:
Do you homeschool or use public school? (In a short response) tell me why you chose what you did...no judging here! I just wanna know so I can make a more educated decision when the time is right for me!
Have a great Friday...we are going to spend it at the fair, and also waiting to hear about Mike's Grandma...she's not doing any better.

Aloha Friday
I am having a hard time coming up with a good question today, but if you want to play along go to An Island Life to link up and join the fun!
There is alot on my mind...
- My dog either threw up or pooped a lot of blood last night...enough that it looked like I shot something in my dining room. The worst part is that is smelled like a dead animal...I mean it was bad! So now I am debating on whether to take her to the vet today as she seems a lot better. (I called the vet last night and she said if there wasn't any more blood it could wait til today).
- Next week is the fair
- And Marlee's shots
- As well as her 6 month photos...I am just taking her to walmart for these, until I get a better camera.
With school around the bend, my question is
*What are your plans for the end of summer? Do you have anything special planned for the last days of summer before school starts?
For me school doesn't actually start since Marlee is only 6 months, but we are going to try to get in a few more good camping trips before the summer is over. The winters are long here so ya gotta get in what ya can!
