Marlee, Brekken, a friend of mine, and I were in the walmart parking lot waiting for a lady so I could buy a toy from her...for way cheaper than I could get it from Walmart. :) Anyhow, earlier in the day Brekken's physical therapist came over (and I have told Marlee it's to help him stretch his neck muscles). So she says "Christina, did you know that Brekken's stretcher came over today?" She says, "Oh yea?" "Yeah, Summer came over to stretch Brekken." We both about died laughing.
She calls cook/chefs cookers. I am sure I have told her the correct term, but sometimes I just let it slide because it's so cute. :)
Marlee really likes me to get on the computer when she goes to bed. I think in the winter she was going to bed so early that I would get on the computer until Mike got home. So tonight she asked, and I told her I would be on the computer. A few minutes later, she came out, and I asked her what she needed. She tells me "I couldn't hear the sound the computer makes." So I told her I was right here, and to go to bed. lol
Marlee jumps all around and says silly things to Brekken all the time. And he ROLLS with laughter. I try playing games and being silly with him, and I get nothing. But I do love the sound of them laughing together. :)
We went to Wendy's yesterday to get some ice cream. When we got out of the truck, I got Marlee out, and Mike got Brekken out. While I was getting her out, I told her we had to hurry. So she hurried and got out and we ran across the street, while Mike and Brekken chased us. She laughed and laughed the whole way, screaming like a banchy that he was going to get us. It was pretty funny. :)
Head on over to Melissa's. And join in.

Sat top 5
On Monday after swim lessons, I put Marlee in her car seat, and Brekken in his. As we were driving home, she says "Mom, Brekkens eyebrows are being mean. His eyebrows are saying mean things to me!" I am pretty sure my almost 5 month old doesn't know how to give dirty looks YET, but it was totally cracking me up!
She has been all about her being the mommy lately. She is the mom, I am Sela, and Mike is Gordon. She sometimes includes Brekken, sometimes not. I think it's cute that we ALWAYS have the same names. And this week she has been telling us that we have to go to sleep. Then she tells us to wake up and that we have to get ready for camping.
She loves to play with Brekken. Sometimes she tells me that they are playing dinosaurs together, or other things. But the other day, she decided they should play tag. So she ran around the living room, then would touch him and tell him that he was it, and continue running around yelling you can't catch me, and laughing. It was making me laugh so hard!
On another note, this isn't really a laugh, but I wanted to put it in here...it's my husband and I's 5 year anniversary. We got to go to a nearby town today to shop and have lunch at red lobster. It was nice. Marlee stayed with Grandma, and Brekken came with us since I'm still nursing.
I know some other funny things happened this week, but I can't remember them now. I need to write them down each night.
Now, go on over to Melissa's Mommyhood Chronicals and join in! :)

Saturday top 5
I haven't joined in to this meme for a while, but yesterday Marlee was cracking me up, so I wrote them down.
If you want to join in go on over to the Mommyhood Chronicles.

- Marlee says to me "Mom, I wish we could trade houses with Michelle and Addie. That would be so cool to trade with them!" I thought it was funny that she wanted to trade houses with them...maybe it's because they have horses. :)
- She says "I think you're super smart, Mom. Do you think I'm super smart too, Mom?" Why yes Marlee, I do think you are super smart!
- We were headed to the store, and they have these car carts she likes to ride in, although I don't always let her-its the germa-phobe coming out in me...especially since she still sucks on her two fingers. So when I told her where she was going she says "Can I ride in the car cart mom? I'll give you a really big smile when we get there. Mom, look, a smile like this." As she gives me a huge grin. I told her that she better give me lot's of smiles even if she can't ride in the car cart. :) She wasn't able to, the one that was there we couldn't get out and there weren't any more. She was kinda bummed.
- Brekken is now giggling. It's super cute, and makes me laugh when he does it.

Top Monday laughs...
I had planned on participating at Mommyhood Chronicals, Top Saturday laughs, but my sister and her family were here again so I completely spaced it. But I want to record some of these little things Marlee has been saying lately so here goes...
Marlee has been super excited about learning the beginning sounds of words. She knows that her name, my name (Mommy) and some other words start with M. She knows Daddy starts with D, and Brekken and Brandi start with B. She says Marlee, Mmmm Mmmm Marlee. It starts with M. She does this with every word when she is sounding it out. So she was doing Toni and she would say "Ttt Ttt Aunt Toni." It had me giggling in the front seat of the car, and I said "No, it's just Toni." So she said "Tttt Tttt just Toni." It was pretty cute. :)
Then later in the week we had went to the pool. I had packed string cheese for when we got done. I like the pepper jack kind and normally she likes the plain kind. She had eaten most of hers when she saw mine, and declared she wanted mine, and was done with hers. I told her that she had hers and I was hungry too, so I was going to eat mine. We had a little bit of an argument over this, and finally she said "Mom, I'm more hungrier than you."
She has a little boy who she plays with on Wednesdays while I watch a women of faith video with some ladies from church. While they were playing apparently she asked him if she could marry him. I'm not sure what his response at the time was, but later he got into the car with his mom, and says to her "Mom, Marlee asked if she could marry me. Is that okay?" His mom said when he was older he could decide if he wanted to marry her or not. So he then says "I think it's okay."
She calls her sandals handles.
And I know I am leaving Brekken out, but besides being completely adorable and smiling and talking all the time, he isn't doing anything particularly funny yet. He did pee all over me, and the couch the other day, which was very unusual...he hasn't really done that since he was a couple weeks old.

Top 5 laughs
This past week we went to Denver for a little get away. While we were there, we went to the zoo, and played in the pool at the motel. Here are some snippets of things that happened while we were there...
- While in the pool, I was helping Mike with his front crawl. (when we first got together he didn't know how to swim at all.) So I put Marlee on the side of the pool, so I could show Mike something, and I was telling him how to move his arms easier or something so he wouldn't get so much water in his face, when Marlee says "Daddy, you need to show me how to swim like a fairy. See like this." As she moves her arms up and down saying she is doing it like a fairy.
- While we were at the zoo, Marlee and I were holding hands walking down the path, and we were all talking, when all of a sudden a squirrel ran near us and then bounded into the bushes. Marlee screamed bloody murder and jumped right on top of my foot. I was laughing so hard (and she was too after it was out of sight).
- Also, while at the zoo, we were looking at the monkeys. In Denver they have a lot of different kind of monkeys, so we were at the part where there were middle sized monkeys. Mike was taking pictures of them, and watching them play with eachother, when one turned away from him, then suddenly turned around at him, and jumped at the window. It made him and Marlee jump. I wasn't near the window so I didn't actually see the monkey in action, but I was laughing so hard that he jumped so high!
- This isn't really funny, but Brekken's umbilical cord finally fell of yesterday. He was 7 weeks 1 day old when it finally decided to come off. Thankfully!
- This wasn't from this week, but I didn't blog about it, and want to write it down so I am adding it here...One night Marlee was in the tub, and I was holding Brekken. He started fussing, so I started singing to him. I was singing You are my sunshine. Apparently I haven't sung it in a long time because Marlee looked at me, and said "what kind of song are you singing?" I told her it was just a song. Then she told me to sing it again, and at the end she said "Who is your sunshine mama? And who's going to take it away?" I told her that her, Brekken and Daddy are my sunshine, and no one is taking them away. lol

Saturday Top 5 laughs
I am joining a new meme this week from The Mommyhood Chronicles. It's Saturday's top 5 laughs. I don't think I have 5, because I just did a funny post about our conversations yesterday, but I do have a few from yesterday out shopping. :)

Yesterday we went shopping in a nearby town...which is 2 hours away. I don't get to go shopping often-we have W almart and K mart here but nothing else really. Of course I had to start Christmas shopping since we were in the "big city" and all. We also got the back splash for our kitchen, which I am super excited about! I am hoping that this week, or next weekend we can get it done. :)
Okay, onto some funny's Marlee says to me and Mike while we are out and about!
If you want to link up, or read other (def. more funny stories than I have this week) head on over to the mommyhood chronicles! :)

Okay, onto some funny's Marlee says to me and Mike while we are out and about!
- Today it was snowing. We were at our friends house that live around the corner. We had walked over, went to the craft fair, and then when we were done we walked home. Marlee loves the snow. (Weird I know! LOL) But, she hates it when it gets in her face. As we are walking home she says "Brother is wet and cold." (Lately she has been calling Mike and I her brothers and sisters, as well as Grandma and Grandpa's brothers and sisters...I think more just being silly). I looked at her and said, "I'm not brother, are you talking about your little brother in Mommy's belly?" "Yep, he's wet and cold Mom. I'm wet and cold too." I just laughed and proceeded to tell her that he was nice and warm in my belly...
- This morning since I was getting ready to go to the craft fair with my friend, we had all intentions of leaving all the kids home and just going by ourselves, but when I told Marlee who I was going with she told me she wanted to come too. I told her to go eat her cereal, as I walked into our bedroom to get some things. She yells "Mama, are you not leaving me?" I of course at that point had to tell Nina that we were taking the kids, because how could you say yes, to that? Yes Marlee, I am leaving you with your dad. Of course I had to take her. :)
