Tell me about yourself...

Karen over at Our Little Corner gave me this award today (or maybe yesterday...). Thanks Karen! :) Make sure you go check her blog out! She is awesome! :)

The rules are to post 7 things about yourself, and to pass it onto 15 other bloggers. I don't know about the 15 other bloggers, but I will do my best! :)


A little about me: 

1. I love to read-blogs, magazines, books...
2. I love to shop...although I don't shop often, and hardly ever for myself...but this baby boy has me in the baby section all the time (although I have yet to purchase anything), and somehow I always end up finding CUTE things for Marlee-which I haven't bought either. :)
3. I love to swim.
4. I would love to go to Hawaii or another Island, and swim with the dolphins. I used to want to go in a shark tank thing, but I think I am too chicken now. 
5. I love to help people and make people things. 
6. In case this is the first time to my blog, I have a 2 year old daughter, and a little boy on the way. And an amazing husband.
7. I went to one year of photography school...a long time ago. And I love to take pictures, but haven't had enough money to get a very good digital camera, so I don't do a lot of it any more. Although, that is on my wishlist-a GREAT digital camera. I do still have my 35 mm from college. Mike wants me to get rid of it, but I can't part with it yet. 

Now for the 15 bloggers...if I can get that many. :) And because I am being lazy, I am just going to write their names, and add the link that way instead of their names and their blog names. A blog award! :)

I just received the versatile blogger award from my friend Jenn over at Baby steps in High Heels.

Thanks Jenn! She has super funny stories on her blog about her baby, marriage, life and everything in between. :)

Anyway, apparently there are ‘rules’ for this Versatile Blogger Award, and they include:
-Thanking the person who gave you the award
-Divulge 7 things about yourself
-Award 15 bloggers with this award (don’t feel obligated about this part either. It’s incredibly time consuming! But, fun ... so do it if you have the time!)

1. I hate it when people don't just come out and say what they are thinking. 
2. I love to sew, but don't take the time to do it very often.
3. I love to save money, but if I have $20 in my pocket/purse I usually have to spend it. I am much better about saving when I don't have it on me. 
4. I love pop. I try not to love it, every single day, but sometimes I just have to get one. Although I never buy more than a 20 ounce, unless we are having people over. 
5. I have my bachelor's degree in elementary education, yet I still find myself reading parenting books sometimes. 
6. I LOVE to dance! Marlee and I frequently dance in our living room. We almost always have the music on, because quite frankly if I turn on the tv, I end up sitting down and watching it-even if it's not something I really want to watch. 
7. I only like to "exercise" when I have someone else to go with me. I have in the past (I haven't made myself start yet this spring) went by myself, but I much prefer to go with someone else. 

Now, for the 15 bloggers. I doubt I will do 15, but I will def. put my favorite blogs on here, besides of course Jenn's since she just sent it to me, but it IS one of my favorites! :)

A little award!

My friend Karen gave me this fun award! I think it is so darn sweet!

I got an award!!!

Over at A little crazy and a lot of Love, I got a mom of the year award! I am so excited! This is my first award and it makes me giddy!

The rules of the mom of the year award, are that you get to tell something about being a mom, ya know get it off your chest, and then you get to tell things that you love about your kids! It's pretty awesome!

Rules for Mom of the Year Award:

(1) Admit one thing you feel awful about involving being a mom. Get it off your shoulders. Once you've written it down, you are No Longer allowed to feel bad. It's over with, it's in the past. Remember, you're a good mom!

I would have to say, the one thing I feel bad about is not reading to Marlee everyday. I try, but sometimes it seems so silly. It is getting easier since she is more responsive, but sometimes it is still hard!

2) Remind yourself you are a good mom, list seven things you love about your kids, you love doing with your kids, or that your kids love about you. These are the things to remind yourself everyday that you Rock!

1. I love holding Marlee.


2. I love bath time with her, because she loves it!


3. I love taking her for walks, she seems to enjoy being outside.


4. I love it when she coos and talks to me.


5. I love it when I am talking to her and she smiles, talks back and gets really excited!


6. I love seeing her with Mike, she is already a daddy's girl! She has him wrapped around her finger!


7. I love it when the 3 of us spend time together, hanging out talking and playing!
