Over at an Island Life, in Hawaii they take Fridays easy. SO she decided to post one question on her blog for us to answer, and then we are supposed to post a question for others to answer on our blog. Her question was "What is your Favorite Christmas song?"
Answer: I don't really have one...I don't really like Christmas music. Sad I know.
My question is not related to Christmas or the holidays, because I have some other bigger issues I would like answers to.
Did you breast feed your child and what was the most challenging part of it for you?
I can't answer my own question, because I haven't gotten to this point yet. I still have 5 weeks left...but would love any help I can get!

5 weeks, Thursday 13
I have a little over 5 weeks left before I get to meet this baby. Possibly sooner if she is an early bird like her daddy, and I guess possibly later. I am hoping that she comes on her due date since I am now subbing full time until Jan 23rd. The school I am working for has been such a blessing! They treat me like I am staff instead of just a sub. I have also become very very attatched to my little kiddos.
So since it is Thursday, I am going to post 13 things I am greatful for. For more Thursday thirteeners go here.
1. My husband
2. My subbing job
3. My family
4. My healthy pregnancy
5. The giving that has taken place this month
6. The friends I have made.
7. Having presents to give under the tree
8. Having all my Christmas shopping done
9. All the gifts we have recieved for the baby
10. All the diapers we got from Mike's poker party
11. That it's busy for Mike at work
12. That we will get to go to Pinedale during the holidays
13. That my sisters kids get a wii, and we all get to play next weekend!

Baby Shower

This was my last baby shower. It was a lot of fun and I am glad that I had all my friends and Mike's family there to share with me! I got some really cool stuff, and a lot of things that I still needed!
*boppy pillow and cover
*swing and pack n play
*pendalton baby blanket
*diapers, wipes and laundry stuff
*fuzzy blankets
*some books and some little toys
All things that I loved! My friends did a wonderful job putting it together! The colors were lime green and purple. It was great! They also had to smell diapers, and taste/smell baby food. There are some disgusting smelling baby foods out there! It looked gross in the jar, I can't imagine what it's going to look like afterwards!

Guy's Baby Shower
The pampers poker party was a huge success!
We got 16 bags/boxes of diapers.
For a grand total of 1028 diapers.
The guys had a lot of fun playing poker, and the girls got a night out to dinner with no kids, and no men! :) After dinner the girls came back to my house and we played a few hands of cards ourselves (no poker) and handed out the prizes for the 1st, 2nd and 3rd place winners of poker. Since they did it different then what I was imagining they all got a wyoming hat. Which means that I get to take the 3 3rd place prizes back to walmart and get our money back along with some baby powder that I will not use.
The guys decided that they should get together to play poker more frequently, and as long as they play for quarters or something little like that I don't mind! It was fun having everyone over!
So if your husband is like mine and wants a little recognition for becoming a dad this is a great way to get him and his friends involved without having it be too girlie. I even made our invites with Wyoming Football colors.

Baby Shower
I had my first baby shower on Saturday. My sister and my mom put it on in my home town. It was a lot of fun! I enjoyed seeing my friends who I hardly ever get to see since we live in different towns. I got some really cute outfits, and a lot of blankets as well as a new jogging stroller and a pack n play. I believe the pack n play is going to save my life! I have seen how much my sister uses hers and I am so thankful I got one too! And now when she comes to visit she doesn't have to pack hers, she can borrow mine!
When my sister sends me the pictures from that day, I will post them. It was a lot of fun and am excited for my baby shower here. I like seeing everyone!
What are your favorite gifts to give for showers? What was your favorite item to receive? I would love to hear from you!

Guy (Baby) Shower
My husband, as loving as he can be thinks that he should be more in with all the fun of a baby shower. Mind you he doesn't want to join mine, he wants his own. He thinks that he is deserving of this, and that me, the one who is carrying this baby gets all the fun experiences.
He forgot how miserable this past summer was for me; being a little nauseous and a lot jealous that I couldn't hang out on the inner tube, or the wake board. Or when I had to stay home, while he went out with all our friends to the bar to have a few drinks.
I am definitely not complaining about my husband, or that I am carrying the baby. I love feeling the baby kick and am very excited to meet her in January!
So I am throwing my husband a surprise "Pampers Texas hold 'em poker party." All the boys have to bring a bag of diapers and for each diaper they get to have a chip. Then they get to play poker and I will have gotten them some fun gifts for the winners. Since these boys are used to getting money I have to get them something.
I am excited. I love surprises. I told my husband that he needed to start doing some sort of surprise things for me... I wonder if he will. He can't keep secrets very well.
If you have any good ideas for a gift for the winners of poker night please feel free to leave a comment! Have a great day!

Funny conversations I've had wit Mike about the baby!
It is such a wierd sensation to have a baby inside of you! The baby is moving like crazy most days, and sometimes I feel her on the outside of my belly and sometimes she makes it feel like there are creepy crawlies on my belly. Mike finally got to feel her kick.
His response: eyes wide. "That would drive me crazy!"
Mine: "You get used to it. Did you think it was cool?"
His: "Yeah, but doesn't it bother you?"
Mine: "Do I really have a choice???!!!"
Sometimes men don't know what to say, or at least mine doesn't. He was totally in awe, but couldn't fathom it happening all the time to him. :)
So the other day we were talking about breast milk. He thought that my breasts already have milk just stored away for a rainy day, even though our daughter isn't due for another almost 4 months. This was rather funny to me.
I told him of course it's not already in there just waiting to be poored out. Don't you think I would leak since there isn't anything eating the milk?
Him: well I hadn't really thought about it. I just thought it was in there.
Me: Well honey it doesn't come until the baby is born. Then after the baby comes there is a possibility that I could leak.
Him: WHAT??? That's disgustin!
Me: Haven't you ever seen a lady who has leaked from breast milk before?
Him: You're the only pregnant person I have ever really been around. I don't have any other kids.
I sure am glad he informed me now, after a year of marriage, and dating for a year before that. He cracks me up because some of this stuff is such a surprise to him. I guess it would be to me too if it weren't for my sisters. And many many friends who have been pregnant!

Baby and some other randomness
About a week and a half ago we found out we are going to have a girl. In January! I am so excited! I can't wait for my daughter to wear all the cute little outfits my sister has given us. I was on Barbs site the today and saw these really cute burp cloths that she made and am ready to try them! She walks you through it which is great!
I now can feel the baby kicking a lot! She is very active most days! I can even feel it when I put my hand on my belly...which took a while because she doesn't always cooperate. Mike has yet to feel her kicking and thinks that I just have gas or something. :)
I will be posting pictures of my belly on here soon. I am not at home so I don't have the files with me on this computer!
I tried making zucchini bread last weekend and it didn't turn out the greatest. Mike's parents liked it, but I didn't. I didn't have any vanilla so I decided not to run to the store, and to just make it without it. It wasn't as sweet as I expected, and I put way too much nutmeg in there. But I have another huge zucchini so I will be trying it again! Ya gotta love fall for all the fresh produce that comes from our in-laws!
