I haven't started this with Marlee yet, but I know a couple of my friends on here have been excited to see what I was going to do with her...in relation to the alphabet and my letter of the week party. I am hoping to start some of this with her this week...with the letter A. As of right now I am not prepared at all, as far as having the stuff together, like I wanted for a few weeks, so I could keep going with her once little man is here. (Don't worry, once he arrives I will stop calling him little man, and use his name. lol).
But here are a few of the ideas I will be using...we have do-a-dot markers already, but if you don't you could use regular markers. Remember, you will want to model what to do with your child. :) I plan on printing these out and doing them. I got these from 1+1+1=1 She has them for each letter. I am not going to do all of the printables, because printing all of these sheets makes me have to buy new ink after just one set of these. But I am going to print out the apple, that has the upper and lower case letters on it, and have Marlee dot them while saying "aaaa." And I have some stamps, so I will probably get those out this week too.
I also plan on doing these alphabet crafts with her each Friday from Totally Tots.
While the ones shown on here are just the upper case, I will probably also look at the lower case letters to do them as well.
Marlee and I also last week I think it was got out the glue and glitter from the dollar store, and while we were glueing I took her paper, and made an M with the glue stick. Then I had her shake glitter all over it to find out what I drew. I have a picture of it, but it's not on my computer yet...but she loved "finding" the secret.
Once I figure out what exactly we will be doing for our A party, I will post pictures of our craft and all the things we did-next weekend. :) Then you guys can judge for yourself if you want to do it or not. And if for some reason I am in the hospital by then, at least this will give you a head start if you want to start the alphabet with your kiddos. :)
