I am almost done putting the binding on Brooklyn's quilt, and then I get to do Gavin's. I am super excited to be so close to being done! I also got Gavin's quilt back, which I had the same lady do his, and I LOVE it. It turned out fantastic.
I have some other things I will be doing/getting finished up with before Christmas on Saturday and I am excited to share! I also have some cute crafts I will take pic's of tonight and try to post tomorrow of fun cute things you can do with your kiddos before Saturday.
Tonight I went to my second cookie exchange, which was a lot of fun! :)
Last night we went to a high school basket ball game, in which Marlee yells at the kids "go fast!" which is pretty hilarious! Mike's brother is coaching one of the teams we went to watch, and Marlee loves it! She loves all the noise, the crowd, bleachers, and watching the kids run up and down the court! :) Before we went out there yesterday I was trying to lay her down because she hadn't taken a very long nap (she had fallen asleep in the chair) and I had told her that she had to take a nap and then we would go watch basketball. Mike and I were listening to her on the monitor and she was in her bed saying "basket game, nap first. Basket game, nap first. Uncle M, basket game. No nap. basket game." It was pretty cute to listen to her talking to herself! :)
She is definitely going to be a sports fanatic when she is older! Last week sometime, she woke up from her nap and whispered to me "dinosaur train?" which is pretty much the only cartoon she watches at this point in time. I told her no, and that maybe later she could watch it. Then she looks at me and whispers "football?" and I laughed and said nope, there's no football games on right now!
Another thing Marlee has been saying lately (which doesn't have anything to do with sports, but I want to write it down before I forget!). She has her favorite baby, and she likes to play with her and feed her and cover her up...ya know all the usual things. Well, I have been trying to be better about playing with her (we play a lot, just not usually pretend play, it's usually playing on the floor wrestling around or her using me as a jungle gym. So, I have been saying "waaa, waaa, waaa, oh no Marlee, your babies crying!" and then we would go find her and I would talk to her about it being hungry, or having a dirty diaper or so on...well, Mike has been doing it today (the waaa waaa part) and Marlee looks at him and says "No Waa, waaa Daddy." She also tells us "no patting bottom" or no whatever we talk to her about. It cracks me up that she has such an opinion now! Someday I am sure I won't think its so cute/funny, but for now it sure is! :)
How was your weekend?

Oh she is talking SO much! What a little love! How hilarious that she was telling them to go fast, sounds like she was really watching the game! My boys don't even do that much!
oh that is so sweet. It is so fun to watch your child play and talk all of the time.. I love it also..
Have a wonderful night..
Stopping by to wish you a very Merry Christmas!!
hope you are getting it all finished up...
Okay, I've missed like 5 billion posts! The santa pics cracked me up... that one looks like she is trying to get away from him. So cute, though.
Glad Gav's quilt turned out the way you wanted! Whew!
Marlee is just a hoot! I can't wait for BB to talk more. He's a little slow in that department.
Well, I hope y'all have a wonderful Christmas. It should be super fun with Marlee. I know BB is going to be fun to watch. I put the cousins' xmas presents under the tree and I turned around and he was opening them. Good thing I didn't put any of the boys' presents out yet!
Merry Christmas!
