Daddy and me

Marlee is a total Daddy's girl. When asked tonight who she loves, she said very proudly, and more than once "I love my Daddy!" and "I love my Daddy and my Grandpa."

Apparently Grandma's you two, and I take back seat in this little girls heart! :)

I think Daddy gets to play the role of Mr. Fun, while I still have to do chores, make meals, and all the other things that make a home run. She has him wrapped around her finger as well, she can barely do any wrong, and he laughs a lot-even when she's being naughty. So he is fabulous, with a capital F.

I hope they always have a strong bond. Even when she hates me (because now seriously it's bound to happen when she's a teenager), but if she can keep that bond with her Daddy, than at least we know she's talking to someone later in life. :)

Did you have a good relationship with your mom? Mine was a little rocky in high school. We had our ups and our downs, and I didn't always hate her, but sometimes I did. And I didn't talk to her about very personal things.

I cannot remember a time when I was not close to my mom-- but I was too very much a daddy's girl. There are a lot of things that come up in a girls life that just cannot be discussed with Daddies....

Love the pictures!

Rocky relationships with ALL (yes, there were many) parents. I'm hoping that I have learned many lessons, the primary one being to remain aware. I think my parents were some of the most oblivious people ever ... they never even considered that they might not be perfect! lol

Anyway, these pics of Marlee are super cute!!! What a little darling!
