On our way to the mountains to the lodge we were staying in, we got deeper and deeper into the snow. By the time we left on Sunday I think the lodge and surrounding areas had gotten about 14 inches. It was fun, and crazy all at once! :)
On our drive, the girl I was riding with and I were talking away, when I looked over into this field because there were people stopped, I was expecting to see an elk, a deer, a moose...something along those lines. Instead what I saw was a GRIZZLY BEAR. It was only about 20-25 yards off the highway, so we got really good shots of it. And let me tell you, I have lived in Wyoming for 25 years, and have never seen a grizzly so close before. I have seen one in Yellowstone, but it was so far away on the side of the hill that it was just a little black blurb. This was AWESOME, and a little freaky too. LOL Since the bear was only about 10-15 minutes away from where we were staying.
Okay, are you ready for the pictures??? Let me just tell you I had to zoom in so much on my camera, because apparently it sucks, that they aren't crystal clear, but the farther away shots, was about how well we could see him in real life.
So this first picture is about how close he was in real life...although it's zoomed in on my camera.

Now, how cool is that! :) I'll post about the rest of my weekend later-probably tomorrow. :) It was fantastic by the way, and I made a lot of new friends. :)
