2011 recap

Here's a fun post that it seems all of my friends are doing...Stef, Sarah and Amy. And probably more, but those are the people thus far I have seen. Go on over to say hello to them! They are all amazing ladies! And if you do one yourself, link up. :)

1. What did you do in 2011 that you’d never done before?
Took a road trip for a week with a 2 year old. We had many stops along the way, and got to see a lot of old friends, but it was an adventure! :)
And went to a quilt retreat...where I was the youngest person there by at least 10 years but probably closer to 13 or 14.
2. Did you keep your new year’s resolutions, and will you make more for next year?
I don't really do resolutions, more like monthly goals...which I will keep doing this year.

3. Did anyone close to you give birth?
Everyone I know it feels like gave birth. Two of my best friends gave birth...one in September, and one 2 days ago. :) And I will be giving birth in about 2 months. :)

4. Did anyone close to you die?
Not anyone close to me. Thankfully!

5. What countries did you visit?
We didn't visit any countries...

6. What would you like to have in 2012 that you lacked in 2011?
A healthy baby. :)

7. What dates from 2011 will remain etched upon your memory, and why?
When Marlee turned 2. When she was fully potty trained. When I lost a baby. When I got pregnant again. And when I got to see this little man on the screen to see that he was indeed a boy.

8. What was your biggest achievement of the year?
Being the best mom I can be.

9. What was your biggest failure?
Not always having patience, and letting the winter blues get me down from time to time.
10. Did you suffer illness or injury?
Nope...

11. What was the best thing you bought?
fabric..so I could be creative.

12. Whose behavior merited celebration?
?

 13. Whose behavior made you appalled and depressed?
?

14. Where did most of your money go?
Our house...either mortgage or fixing it up.

15. What did you get really, really, really excited about?
Getting to have another baby.
16. What song will always remind you of 2011?
God Gave me You

This one when I hear it sometimes makes me think of Mike and others makes me think of some of my best friends who get me through the hard times.

17. Compared to this time last year, are you: (a) happier or sadder? (b) thinner or fatter? (c) richer or poorer?
Happier, fatter and richer.

18. What do you wish you’d done more of?
playing outside with Marlee, and being more active
19. What do you wish you’d done less of?
Eating crap food...as I say this, there are two tubs of ice cream, a bag of chips and oreo cookies in our fridge. I was HUNGRY when I went to the store last night and I fell for all my cravings. On the flip side, I don't do that often, so after this pregnancy is over, I plan to get back on track with my eating...

20. How did you spend Christmas?
With lot's of family.

21. Did you fall in love in 2011?
Yep. I fell in love with my hubby, my daughter and this little man growing inside of me. NOT that I didn't love my hubby and Marlee before, but I think you are always re-falling in love with people...or falling harder in love with them I should say. :)

22. What was your favorite TV program?
Greys Anatomy, Private Practice and Army Wives
23. Do you hate anyone now that you did not hate this time last year?
Nope

24. What was the best book you read?
Hmmm...I have read a few really good books. I really liked parenting with love and logic. I also liked water for elephants (again), and some books by Gil McNeil...they were fun silly books. :)
25. What was your greatest musical discovery?
Don't have one really

26. What did you want and get?
In Aug. Marlee got cleared from her heart problems...she still has a heart murmur, but doesn't have heart disease, and is able to participate in ANYTHING she wants, and is deemed a "normal" kid from the doctors stand point. We don't have to see the ped. cardiologists any more. YAY!

27. What did you want and not get?
Nothing really.

28. What was your favorite film of this year?
I liked bridesmaids.
29. What did you do on your birthday, and how old were you?

My family, and my friend Nina.

My friend Misha and her daughter. They have become awesome friends.
37. Tell us a valuable life lesson you learned in 2011?
That things aren't always as they seem

I don't have one.
